About Skylar

I am a compassionate, dedicated, and flexible educator looking to support students continue their learning outside of the classroom. Confidence in the classroom translates to confidence in yourself, and my goal in life is to best support all students feel that confidence! I'm looking for a job that allows for open communication and relationship building, as that is the key to a safe and healthy learning environment. I started tutoring when I was in high school, tutoring peers and students younger than myself. I continued to tutor through college as I worked towards my History BA and certification in Social Studies Education. I have tutored all ages, ranging from early elementary to college-aged. In my spare time, I like to read, crochet, and paint! I also enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. My skills include differentiating instruction and materials for each individual student, building relationships with students, and crafting engaging learning experiences!
