About Skylar

hi! My name is skylar, I'm from Southern California and I just moved to Gilbert Arizona for nursing school. I have been attending the U of A for two years and am now a junior in level one of an accelerated BSN program. As a nursing student, I have first aid training, child development knowledge and BLS/CPR certification. I have tons of experience working with kids and have been babysitting since middle school! I'd describe my personality as outgoing, passionate, and empathetic! I started working with kids through National Charity League, a woman's philanthropic organization. I was a member of NCL from 7th-12th grade where I completed hundreds of hours of community service. One of my favorite philanthropy's, Precious Life, is a women's shelter for mothers. During their stays, mothers are able to take life classes like budgeting and nutrition and volunteers watch their babies. I was able to care for babies as young as five days old.
