About Skylar

My name is Skylar, and I am a fourth-years honors student at Tulane with three years of tutoring experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels. I specialize in English (writing and reading comprehension), social studies, and foundational math, including pre-algebra and Algebra 1., I provide homework support and have created customized learning plans tailored to each student's curriculum and needs. I also mentor high school students through the college application process, offering detailed feedback to refine personal statements and supplemental essays. As both a tutor and a sister to two brothers with learning disabilities, I have firsthand experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and those on the spectrum. No matter the learner's background, my approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized to help every student build confidence and succeed.
