About Skylar

Hi! My name is Skylar, and I'm 24 years old. I've been working with children since 2016. Originally from LA, I moved to NYC in 2019 to pursue academic interests. I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, where I studied writing, literature, psychology, and filmmaking. Over the years, I've gained diverse experience in childcare as a camp counselor, acting teacher, and babysitter. These roles helped me gain strong communication skills, encourage confidence, and craft engaging activities. I've worked with children of all ages, creating exercises that help them express themselves through art, storytelling, and play. I'm skilled at conflict management and ensuring a safe, fun environment. Fostering creativity is essential to me, and I aim to bring imagination to my work with kids. I love baking, crafting, playing pretend, and reading stories! In my free time, I enjoy exploring NYC's museums, reading, watching films at Metrograph, and testing recipes.
