About Skye

Hello! My name is Skye and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Math from CSU Long Beach. I specialize in math for K-12 students and have also supported students in English (writing, reading, English Language Learners, etc.). I am in the process of attaining my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential to become an elementary school teacher. Currently, I have my Emergency Substitute Teaching Certification and work as an AVID Tutor at a middle school in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. I have been a private tutor since 2018 and have had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of students from ages 3-17. My job history includes: - First working as a tutor at Kumon Math and Reading Center in 2016 - Working as a teacher's assistant at a Learning Center in my hometown in 2017 - Starting my own private tutoring practice while entering college in 2018 - Assisting with various elementary school classrooms during my Undergraduate Studies 2020 through 2023
