Hi! I'm Skai, I am a current nursing student. I am the oldest of six children and come from a big family so babysitting and children have been a big part of my life for a long time. I attended UC Santa Cruz where I graduated with my bachelors in sociology. My ultimate goal is to be public health nurse and hope to get my masters degree in public health once I am settled into nursing. I know this is not necessary to become a public health nurse but, I believe educating myself thoroughly on the communities I will treat will lead to better care and health outcomes. I lead with compassion and empathy in all areas of my life, not only academically and professionally. Aside from my education and career goals, I love to read, bake, write, collect vinyl and visit the movie theater. I also have four dogs and a cat and love animals!
