Hi my name is Skai! That rhymes btw :) I have worked as an au pair, nanny, babysitter, mother's helper as well as a teacher (grades 4 - 9 & ages 4 - 18). I love the energy that kids exude and I enjoy reflecting and directing that energy. I'm an arts and crafts whiz, an avid reader and love playing pretend! At 19 I moved as an au pair to Stockholm to help a Swedish family improve their children's English skills and continued to work for this family of six for five years while I attended university and explored other careers. I built a similar relationship with a family in Eden Prairie MN, they were looking to teach their children Swedish before a transatlantic move. I was able to work with this family in MN & Stockholm, Sweden over a two year period. I'm a creative, responsible and nurturing individual with a positive demeanor! I strike the balance between structured and flexible necessary to best care for your loved ones.

Skai was amazing with my daughter. My daughter has never had a babysitter outside of family, and she was very nervous and having a hard time with the idea… then Skai showed up at our door and they immediately got along so well! Within 10 minutes, my daughter was showing Skai her costumes, talking about all of her favorite things… I almost felt like the third wheel in their play date. Leaving the house was seamless. I was most surprised to hear that my daughter went to bed without any issues, (she normally does with us), and she slept the whole night through plus an hour past when she normally wakes up on the weekends! Not to mention, she left our home tidier than when we left which was not an expectation! I will definitely be reaching out to Skai again. (I already have, the next date lined up!)
