My name is Sitara, and I am a student at Columbia University studying psychology on the pre-med track. I have worked as an academic tutor for children aged 10-18 for over 4 years and am currently a SAT/ACT prep tutor for high schoolers. I also have experience mentoring younger children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and I've worked closely with a student on the autism spectrum as part of the Best Buddies program. I am super passionate about working with and caring for children, especially because I am studying to one day be a pediatrician. I am aware that every child is different, and I enjoy developing an approach to child care, mentoring, and tutoring that is best for the child's individual needs. When I'm not in school or tutoring, I enjoy baking, listening to new music, and engaging in crafts/painting.
