About Simone

I am a political science major at San Francisco State University, seeking a way to utilize my care taking skills to raise social, political and environmental awareness in young children. It brings me the greatest happiness to fulfill my social duty by helping people and now that the future is brighter because the children are healthy, loved and educated. I am capable of the immense responsibility of caring for other peoples children because I grew up as the oldest in a family of six children ranging from age 20 to three. As I got older I began helping my parents around the house with chores and even more importantly taking care of my younger siblings; feeding them, clothing them, washing them and teaching them when our parents were too busy. I was also a Girl Scout leader throughout high school for Daisy Scouts ages roughly four to 10, where I designed active and artistic education plans. From these experiences I was inspired by the youthful enthusiasm, as well as necessary care taking skills from cooking healthy meals to knowing how to react in states of serious emergency.
