About Silvana

Hello, my name is Silvana and I am a professional artist recent to Ben Lomond and 14 years living in Santa Cruz. I am borne and raised in Italy however. I appreciate much of the Montessori and positive discipline principles for childcare as well as mindfulness practices when the children are at least 3 or older. I have 6 ECE units and I have nearly 8 years experience working with children. I love drawing, singing, gardening, cooking, playing music, reading books and going out into nature. I am attentive to routines and sleep/feeding schedules. I am respectful of parenting styles and I am safety conscientious. I am comfortable with pets. I am also happy to introduce some Italian language or French. I am a mother to a young teenager. In the past I used to take my little one with me, infact we are still very good friends with our previous families. So far, my nanny experience has been a fantastic experience of seeing the children who I tend to interact, learn and grow together.
