This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 3 yrs
As an enthusiastic and committed caregiver, I am eager to make a positive impact in my community through my service. With certifications in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED and as a California Child Abuse Mandated reporter for School Personnel, I possess the necessary skills to handle any emergencies that may arise. Currently, I am serving as a Children's Ministry worker in an after school program and as a substitute teacher at Christian Valley Christian School. In addition to my work in childcare, I have experience working with kids with special needs, having previously been a camp counselor. I also have extensive experience in overseas mission work, which has provided me with valuable skills in cross-cultural communication and adaptability. My passion for serving others and dedication to making a positive impact in my community drive me to continously learn and grow in my role as a caregiver.

Sierra interviewed on zoom then came to my moms house and met my mom and family. We hired her and was excited for her to start. She was a lovely girl. We got all her information for payroll, set a day and time for her to start. Then we contacted her to see if she wanted to start a couple days early and she didn't respond to text or messaging in the care.com platform. I knew she hadn't agreed to start early so I thought maybe she was busy. But the day she was supposed to start she didn't show up. I called and left her a voice mail, texted and did the care messaging. Nothing. Complete ghost. I was honestly surprised because she was so darling, was a woman of faith, had a meal with us and expressed how excited she was to work with our family. She missed out. We treat our caregivers like family. Pay is higher than most and it's a great job for a student because there's time to do homework.
