I have 10+ years of experience, from full time nanny of two 2-3-year-old boys, to live in nanny (where I also taught 3 children homeschool), to regular babysitter for many families. I have experience with new born, and love to work with them. I'm skilled at communicating with children. I have a gentle approach to child care, and love working with kids. Helping them grow their communication and social skills is so rewarding. I have found a deep passion for being able to contribute positively to a child's development. I'm definitely more experienced in working with children under 11. However, older children are great too. It's so rewarding to support them in a time of many changes in their lives. I am married, with no kids of our own yet, but I am a pet lover. I enjoy being out in nature, reading, singing, and painting in my spare time. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist, and run a small practice on the side where I get to set my own schedule and am willing to work around yours.

Shylah is a TERRIFIC care giver for young children. During the height of the Covid pandemic, our family hired Shylah as part of a nanny share and continue to hire her for occasional date night outings. She arrived on time each day, planned any absences ahead of time with fair notice, and was easy to reach to discuss changing plans. Shylah is so loving and patient with our strong-willed son. She provided a number of tips and resources to help us as a family to practice mindfulness and to regulate/manage emotional outbursts. She is patient, kind, and gentle with all children- her creativity and adventurous nature make her a hit with kids!
