About Shyla

I'd describe my personality as outspoken, compassionate, and determined. I like caring for seniors because when my grandmother was in hospice, I started to care for her in her last days. At that point I was only 10 years old. Although I was young, I cared for it so much that I always wanted to do it. When I started serving at an ALF about 6 years later, I cross trained to become a caregiver. Once I turned 18, that's when I started doing it on my own. I would do ADLs such as showering/dressing, housekeeping, medication management, get their groceries if needed, and many other things needed for daily life. It became my passion and still is to this day. I have been caregiving for a total of 5 years.
