I am an experienced and compassionate caregiver to the elderly, the infirm, and children from newborn to adolescent. My calling stems from my experiences helping my father, who lived with Alzheimer's the last three years of his life. I realized then that I can make a difference to those in need. I assist clients with fundamental needs such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal care, light housework, meal preparation, and medication management. I help with memory loss with intelligent discussion (in Hebrew as well), Yoga and exercises, and with art and craft. It is my view that maintaining as active and inquiring a mind as possible is essential to health and happiness. I have a reliable car and an unblemished driving record. I can run errands, do the grocery shopping, accompany my clients on outings or shopping trips, and transport them to appointments. I have had First Aid training, and recognize signs of a stroke or heart attack, and can perform CPR.

I hired Shlomit to help provide companion care for my mother who has early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Not only this, but Shlomit was the first paid-caregiver I have ever hired for my mother, and I could not have started off better. Shlomit is wonderful and has been an excellent caregiver for my mother. For the past six months, Shlomit came to my home and provided direct-care assistance, as needed, (e.g., assistance showering, meal preparation) but the majority of time she was engaging with my mom in a variety of lovely activities. Shlomit and my mom play games (board games, card games), they do art activities, take walks outside (weather permitting), do relaxing yoga and meditation (all seated for my mom), enjoy conversations, and even go out in the community often. Shlomit has taken my mother to coffee shops, the library, museums (e.g., UMMA Art Museum) and the botanical gardens (indoor/outdoor). My mom has REALLY enjoyed time with Shlomit, and I have too!!! 100% recommend!!
