I understand the challenges parents face when their child gets diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. My daughter (now 28 years old) was diagnosed at 12 years old. I have experience in the following insulin delivery devices: pumps, syringes, pods, pens, AID, and CGM. I completely understand the importance of maintaining healthy BG and how difficult it can be, especially when hormones start changing. I have worked with advanced memory care clients. I know the importance of working with them to help retain some cognitive thinking and motorskills. I understand there are times that I need to redirect clients and times they may need me to assist by desclating situations.
