Multiple years experience working with senior residents in skilled nursing and assisted living settings. I prefer working now as a companion. I can do lite housework, prepare lite meals, assist with medications, occasional laundry, run errands, take to doctor appointments, encourage exercise and other activities. I'd describe my personality as light hearted, devoted yet responsible and professional. I like caring for seniors because that's what I've done for approx 15 years. I enjoy interacting with them and connecting with the young soul within. I'm looking for a job that helps people... the senior person as well as their family. I started caring for seniors when in approx 1980 when I was working at a skilled nursing facility in Citrus County, My skills include understanding dementia patients, able to attend doctor appointments and provide detailed info of this visit to the family and usually able to recognise health warning symptoms before they manifest into something bigger.
