About Sherry

Hello. My name is Sherry S. I am 42 years old and I am a mother of two girls. My oldest is 21 years old and my youngest is 13 years old. My oldest is in college and working part time. My youngest is under the spectrum. My youngest is a special need child diagnosed with autism. We are with the the San Francisco Autism Society Bay Area. There, I've met various types of children with special needs, and their wonderful mothers. On our spare time, we would schedule play dates and get together. In this community, I've learned that some children with special needs can be really temperamental at times. Unfortunately, when they get to that point where they're really angry, there's not much you can do but be patient until they are calm. But to prevent this from happening, we have to deescalate the situation before it begins. I'm happy I got to meet these beautiful children and see that they have kids out there just like them that accepts them.
