About Sherry

I have taught a variety of subjects in both the Elementary and Middle School setting. Grades taught include: Pre First, First Grade, Fifth Grade, Grade, Seventh Grade and Eight Grade. My certifications are as follows: General Education 1-8, English Education 1-8, Gifted and Talented Education K-5 and Paraprofessional Special Education 6-8. I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of Education. I believe all children can learn. I believe child-centered education is fundamental. I use a variety of methods to help students succeed. I believe reading is the gateway to further learning. I believe learning should be fun. I approach learning in a holistic way, meaning tactile-kinesthetic, movement, speaking, writing, talking, visual learning, auditory learning, fine motor skills, gross motor skills. Whatever is necessary to imprint knowledge and spur academic growth.
