About Sherry

I'd describe my personality as problem solving, creative and patient. I like tutoring because I understand that children learn in different ways. As a Child Development major, I can figure out where the student is struggling and through play and creativity begin to build a strong foundation. The student then moves on to learn proven strategies that will help them succeed in the classroom. I'm looking for a job that has a child that needs support with homework. I can work with students that have IEP's, behavioral plans and are behind in their grade level. I started tutoring 2 1/2 years ago. Currently, I'm an Intervention Assistant at an elementary school. In my spare time, I like to be in nature, walking, crafting and soccer. One thing you should know about me is that I know what it is like to have children that need help. You should also know that I have many years working with children and I continue to love what I do. My skills include Language Arts, English and Mathematics.
