As a former Special Education Teacher, I have successfully raised two children of my own. Forced to take an extended medical leave from education in 2010, I decided to help those young families that required childcare services. As a former full-time employed mother/dual-income family, I understand the importance of having a quality, dependable, and trust-worthy daycare provider. I also understand the importance of providing constant, positive reinforcement and a fun, loving, and nurturing environment. My resume includes caring for twin infant boys, several other infants and children, and most recently a 5-week-old infant who will soon be a year old. Along with providing the necessary care for these children, I also encouraged developmental skills, singing, indoor and outdoor play, walks, swimming at local parks/splash parks, story time at local library, reading, and lots of fun! I have also provided other duties within the household to make lives easier on everyone!

We moved here in June of 2022 knowing no one, and luckily we were able to get connected to Shelly very early on. She mainly cared for our infant girl, but also helped with our 1st grader on occasion as well. She was absolutely amazing and we would not have made it through our first year in Colorado without her! She was super engaged with the kids at all times, sang songs for the baby, played with her on the floor, etc. and was very attentive to all needs. My wife and I joke that our daughter liked Shelly more than us - the most excited she would get every day was when she heard the front door opening because she knew Shelly was the only one person that comes in through that door. Would fully recommend to anyone looking for care for their kids.
