I had two disabled siblings growing up. I was the oldest and helped my mother care for them. I then worked right out of college with children who had a variety of disabilities. (autism, ADHD, ODD,). I then worked at hospital and cared for disabled patients 6-21. This is where I learned more hands on care for those from minor to major mental and physical disabilities . Overall 16 years of hands on experience and 10 more years on the administrative side. I also adopted my disabled niece at 6 years old and have raised her. She is now 26.
