I have 2 years experience as a nursing assistant at a nursing home years ago. I also have 3 years experience as a caregiver/ companion. I have worked with elderly needing hospice services at the end of life. I can assist in lifting, transferring to bed and chair. I can assist with transfers, administering daily medicines, personal care, transportation and meal preparation and light housekeeping. I thoroughly enjoy being a companion to the elderly in addition to assisting in any of their daily needs. I find working with the elderly to be very rewarding and always full of love and laughter and an enriching experience. I am a mother of 2 girls. I am an avid civil rights activist, a child advocate and an animal lover. I have always loved elderly people and as a child I started volunteering at a nursing home.
