About Shelby

I'm passionate about nurturing the growth and development of children. I've always been drawn to caring for kids, and I have a natural ability to connect with them. My experience includes babysitting and ABA therapy and I'm safety care trained in how to prevent dangerous behaviors in children and adults with autism. I'm a very patient and calm person, and I'm also creative and imaginative. I believe in creating a fun and engaging environment for children, while also promoting their learning and development. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules and routines, and I always make sure to communicate openly and honestly with parents about their child's day. In my caretaking career, I've enjoyed doing arts and crafts or playing board games and puzzles with children, as well as educational games that promote learning. I'm also willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. I have CPR training, and I'm fluent in English with some basic knowledge of Spanish.
