About Shelby

For years I have always volunteered for my church family in the nursery and youth ministry, which eventually lead me to gain my first job as a teacher in our church's Mother's Day Out program located in Lafayette. In that I found my passion to work with children and continued on that path when I moved back to Metairie and began work at a Children's Learning Center. Fast forward a few years and I had my first child then began work at a nonprofit foundation for fatherless boys called Son Of A Saint. I enjoyed my time there but gained an interest in healthcare and eventually left to become a Caregiver at a group home where I learned how to care for seniors citizens, the disabled and those who just simply can not take care of their selves without the help of another 24/7.
