About Shelby

Hello! My name is Shelby and I am a 30-year-old graduate from DePaul University with my Masters Degree in elementary education. I have 6 years of experience caring for three different families full-time from infancy to toddler years. The experience of watching a child go through infancy to the toddler stages was so amazing, and I learned so much about sleep cycles, food and allergy tests, potty training, teaching manners, virtual schooling (2020) etc. I realized how much I love child care both for the experience of watching a child grow and learn and also for the bonds formed with both the children and the parents. I have a car that I am able to use for transportation and I have a completely clean driving record. I believe my experience in education is a huge asset in this field, as I have lesson planning experience and classroom experience.
