About Shelby

My name is Shelby and I have a bachelors degree in English with a minor in psychology and am currently an English Literature Graduate student and part time instructor at Iowa State University. Prior to starting my Masters degree I have had 6 years of experience working in various childcare & teaching settings with children as young as 3 months old all the way up to 18. I've worked in various childcare centers and in public schools as a teacher, substitute teacher, and 1:1 with children who have special needs. I have reliable transportation and am a non smoker. I would love to plan activities and get outside with the kids as much as possible and am also willing to assist with pet care and errands. I miss being able to work with young children helping them learn and grow and would love an opportunity to be able to care for them again over the summer.
