About Shelby

Hello! My name is Shelby. My first job was through the YMCA at a kids camp. I wrangled 12 6-year-olds at a time (I can multitask!) I have cared for children to some extent for the past 15 years and have experience with kids on the spectrum. I'm comfortable doing light cleaning. I am a non smoker with a newer SUV. I'm comfortable with pick up and drop off of from school and activities. I enjoy animals, I have a Pit/Lab mix. I like to spend time away from screens and engage in imaginative play and board games. I believe in positive reinforcement, leading by example, and engaging in age appropriate conversations about feelings and problem solving. As far as older kids go, I'm a great alternative to get them to friend's houses and activities. I'm willing to create an ongoing schedule for pickup/drop off. I understand emergencies come up or kid's schedules conflict, I can be available as a safe ride to and from. Most of my kids grow out of needing my care.
