About Shelbi

Hi, I'm Shelbi! I have been volunteering as a tutor at my high school's writing and math center for about two years now, and I was also a tutor at the Newbury Park Branch Library for k-12 students for a year. Math: I have been a private tutor for math students in middle school and high school for about 5 months. I am currently in the highest level math class at my high school (IB Mathematics HL~ Calculus BC) and I am comfortable teaching elementary and middle school level math, as well as Algebra 1, 2, Math Analysis, and Calculus. Writing: I am an experienced writing tutor and can help with essays (grammar, organization, analysis). SAT, ACT and AP Prep: I scored a 1510 on my SAT (740 RW, 770 Math) and a perfect score on the SAT II Subject Test (800). I also scored a 33 on my ACT and a 5 on five AP tests. I self-studied for all of these tests and feel qualified to help others succeed on them. Instruments: I feel qualified to give affordable lessons for Clarinet and Oboe.
