About Shekinah

I'd describe my personality as patient, compassionate, understanding I like working with kids because they're always so cute and it's fun watching them grow and learn. Being around them gives me joy and I love caring for them in the ways they individually need. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to serve the children/family I work for. A job where I can make a positive impact on the lives around me and where I'm valued. In middle school I started babysitting my cousins for my aunt and uncles' date nights or events, and then throughout high school I started nannying some family friends' kids as a side job. In my spare time, I like to take walks or lay on the beach with a good book. Spending time with friends, or doing Pilates. My skills include being able to defuse stressful situations, engage in play/be present with child- which is so important for their growth and development, and effectively communicate with the child at their level of understanding.
