About Shekinah

Hi all! My name is Shekinah (she-ky-nah) and I have been working with kids of all ages since I was 16 years old. I absolutely adore working with children and have been studying to be an elementary music teacher over the past couple of years. In the past I have been CPR and EMR certified (as I was a beach lifeguard a few years back) and have lots of experience working with children who have type-1 diabetes and celiac disease. As the oldest of 5 siblings, I am used to (and even enjoy) the happy chaos that comes with raising a family. As a caretaker, I would describe myself as calm, patient, and fun-loving. In my spare time I love to play instruments, surf, hike, go to the beach, and chill with my friends and pet dog. I am looking for long-term or short-term gigs throughout the weekdays (all day) or weekend (evenings). I look forward to meeting and working with you!
