About Sheila

I have over 4 years experience in senior care. I have worked with Dementia clients as well as multiple diagnoses. I am available to make life easier for clients living in their own homes who need more care and support to live safely and comfortably at home. As a home care companion this covers a range of basic tasks and activities that many seniors find difficult to perform on their own. For example, performing errands such as grocery shopping or picking up medications, on behalf of a senior, assistance with meals, cleaning, activities, exercise are all provided while keeping the clients independence in mind. It is important to me that seniors can maintain their routines and continue to age in place. I have worked at a skilled nursing facility for 3 years and have a background in recreation therapy, art therapy, and mental health counseling. I use my clinical background to assist in approaching and caring for seniors with Dementia and creating a safe environment for clients.
