About Shay

I am currently an elementary school teacher and I've been a childcare provider for eight years because I have a strong passion for fostering children's growth and development. I am a patient, calm, creative, imaginative, friendly, and approachable person. I communicate with parents about their child's day or any issues that arise verbally at pick up, via text, or phone call, whichever they prefer. I'm very comfortable enforcing household rules. My favorite games to play with children are outdoor sports, physical games, board games, puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I'm comfortable caring for one child at a time. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education am certified in First Aid and CPR. I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and can help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, and supervising swimming. I hope to have the opportunity to teach your children how to swim, as I am a skilled swimmer.
