About Shayna

I like working with kids because I am truly a child at heart and love being silly. This past summer of 2023, I worked as a "Playologist" at a children's museum, in which the majority of my job was spent playing with kids and promoting a sharing social environment. I would set up activities on the fly while creating memorable friendships with recurring guests and their families. I started working with kids when I was in middle school and started volunteering as a Teacher's Assistant once a week! Because I was so young, I mostly worked with preschoolers until I entered high school and graduated to working with older elementary students. I babysat for a couple years for a sweet set of twins I worked with while at the preschool. In my spare time, I love to paint and draw! My favorite medium is acrylic paint and recently charcoal. My mom was a preschool art teacher the majority of my childhood and she has largely inspired me to be as creative and crafty as I aspire to be.
