About Shayna

Hi there! My name is Shayna and I have a B. S. in Ecology from UC Santa Cruz. I've always had a passion for nurturing children's growth and development, and I'm thrilled to have three years of experience in providing reliable child care, tutoring and science education for kids aged 5-17! My caring, patient, and friendly demeanor helps create a nurturing environment for children to thrive. With my background in science education, I enjoy playing games with children, especially outdoors, that make learning a fun adventure! I believe in open and honest communication with parents, providing regular updates and following their preferred method of contact. I'm certified in First Aid and CPR, and can assist with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I also have experience teaching music (piano and guitar) and am happy to teach music as well! I'm excited about the opportunity to care for your children and be a positive influence in their lives.
