I started working with children at the age of 12. My mother had an in home daycare through the military base. I started by assisting with meal prep and interacting with the children with arts and crafts, songs, potty training, and nap time. As time progressed I received my CPR and First Aid certification (renewed when expired). We would work with children from 3 months all the way to 12 years. In high school I took electives that were based around children like child development, and child safety.
