About Shayla

Eight years of experience working with children of all ages. I have aced several ECE classes and have been CPR certified (willing to renew). For the past eight years, I've worked with children from 0-12 years old. I worked as a teacher for 4 1/2 years and have been a nanny for the other 4 years. I currently am a nanny for a family I've been with for about a year and a half now but unfortunately the family will be moving out of state. I was nannying for a family for almost 3 years prior. I am reliable, fun, loving, outgoing, patient and a creative person. My go-to's are art activities, nature walks, and dance parties. I believe children learn best when we integrate education with real-world activities that will keep them interested and eager to grow. I encourage exploration and developmentally appropriate practices. My ultimate goal is to walk alongside the children and help them in any capacity so they can grow into the amazing little humans they are meant to be.
