*please note : we are relocating to VA from NY* I began working with seniors 9 years ago after being introduced to the high demand of elderly care when my grandmother was battling dementia and Parkinson's disease living in a nursing home. Since then I have worked as a CNA in nursing homes and then shifted into working with families in a more private manor such as assisted living and private residences. This allowed me to be more available and flexible for the family while being able to provide more direct one on one care which I believe everyone deserves. I pride myself in offering respectable companionships and support to not just the senior in need but the entire family for this is difficult for everyone. Maintaining as much independence and dignity is always on my forefront when working with a senior.

Shawntel was one of my mother‘s favorite caregivers. She was very creative, always finding ways to keep my mother who suffered from dementia and early Alzheimer’s busy and entertained. She was always offering to do something extra to help my mother and the family, such as light housekeeping, my mother‘s nails, A anything she could think of. Shawntel became a family friend. I can’t recommend her highly enough. I believe you will find Shawntel is an excellent caregiver.
