For over a decade I have tutored children, teens and young adults in Manhattan. My tutoring skills include all levels of Literature, English and Writing (I am also a screenwriter.), Math up to Algebra 2, Spanish 1 and 2, Science, World and US History as well as general education and electives in the arts. This past summer I was also the company manager at a theater camp. Working with children gives me great joy. To see a student gain confidence and self reliance makes me smile. Many of my clients have been with me since grade school, and I can't begin to tell you what a gift it is to see them develop confidence, integrity and a stronger sense of their own power. Shauna has worked throughout high school with my son & is planning to continue remotely with him while he attends college out of state. They've developed a productive rapport, and she's helped him not only with academic tutoring, but also to improve his executive functions & study skills so he could maintain top grades in every subjects He graduated with honors, and even received an academic scholarship to college thanks to her on-going tutoring! Shauna is a professional writer and this is where she really excels, yet she is also knowledgeable and talented enough to provide excellent support in high school sciences, math, history and Spanish classes. To top it off Shauna is flexible with scheduling and can extend sessions or change hours when's scheduling conflicts occur or work load demands require it. She's reliable, intelligent & committed with a fun personality that helped keep my son motivated. Shauna is a rare find and I highly recommend that you reach out to her!!!
