About Sharon

Having maintained a successful art classroom and taught art K through 8th grade for several years, I am looking forward to continuing to work with children and families. I have the ability to plan, organize, and create a safe, creative, and nurturing environment where the needs of children come first. As a mom of two grown children, I practiced attachment parenting during formative years and chose to be a stay at home mom. We attended a not-for-profit-parent run preschool two days a week and I was active on the board of directors as teacher liaison. I think I gave my children a great start because they are both becoming talented and accomplished young adults, my son graduating in Dec. 2020 and my daughter living as a high school senior in Texas as a Joffrey Ballet dance trainee. I recently retired from teaching Art K-8. I'm excited to discuss with you how I might be able to work with your family.
