I have personal hands on experience. My oldest is High functioning autism and have had to learn the hard way. I have seen lower functioning and know that no two kids are alike. Patience is key. I had to step back and let others do what I couldn't figure out even though I am a preschool teacher. I learned to pick my battles wisely we he is concerned. Sensory and texture issues were hard to understand at first, and I know my limits on what can and can't be done without getting frustrated.
