About Sharon

I have 10+ years of experience working with elementary school, middle school, high school, and college age students, including a background tutoring and teaching. With a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS), I have a passion for helping students learn and succeed! As a patient and caring educator, I work with students from a variety of backgrounds. I currently work part-time helping K-12 students with homework at a Los Angeles Public Library branch. In the past, I tutored students remotely and in-person. For example, I tutored through Los Angeles Unified School District's Step Up Tutoring program. My college-level experience includes adjunct teaching at UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz, working as academic support staff at Stanford University, and working with students as library staff at Loyola Marymount University and California Institute of the Arts.
