About Shari

During the day I am special education teacher and I'm passionate about helping my students learn and meet their needs. Each person has their own unique learning style and during my tutoring sessions I always make sure I meet their needs and can help them meet to their best potential. I'm looking for a job that help students where they are struggling. I use best practices and implement positive behavior strategies when teaching. I would love to incorporate that when I'm tutoring my other students. I started tutoring when in college. I've been teaching for over 7 years and I have experiences both as a head classroom teacher and a teacher assistant. I really enjoy the 1:1 work because it really gives me the opportunity to understand the child's needs in more depth and how I can help them. One thing you should know about me is I grew up with an IEP myself so when it comes to tutoring and teaching, I am very understanding of my students needs and how I can help them.
