About Shantel

I work at the Children's Hospital full time, but my availability is flexible! I'm also a mom myself. I've always had a passion for caring for children and making a positive impact on their lives. With a year of experience, I'm patient, calm, friendly, and approachable. I believe in open communication with parents and provide written daily reports, verbal communication at pickup, and regular updates via text or phone call. I follow the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules and enjoy playing outdoor sports and physical games, board games and puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I'm First Aid and CPR trained, have taken coursework in early child development, and am willing to help with cooking and meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision.
