About Shannon

I'd describe my personality as silly, dependable, and calm. I like working with kids because they are so exciting to be around and I love to be silly. I love teaching them new things and it is so rewarding when something sticks. I'm looking for a job that is busy in the summer, and less hours during the school year because I am teaching at my current school next school year. I started working with kids when I was 16 as a summer camp counselor and I worked my way up to program director after a couple of summers. In my spare time, I like to hike with my dog, dance, do DIY projects, and read. One thing you should know about me is I can go with the flow. Spending time with kids is so rewarding for me, and I always stay calm in high stress situations. My skills include CPR training, I am a great tutor, and I love being active with my students!
