About Shannon

I am a Pre-Occupational Therapy student with a minor in special education. Working with those who have disabilities has been a theme since my earlier nannying days in high school, and through my education I have had more opportunities to help those with disabilities and work on adaptive devices. I have had in depth clinical work with individuals that have physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities. It is my goal in my suture practice to make every environment inclusive for those with disabilities and to continue the research done in this field. When it comes to working with older adults, I have had experience in an Older Adult Day center for 2 years getting to know the lovely individuals and helping them participate in leisure activities, ADLs and feel comfortable in there own home.
