About Shannon

I owned and worked a hair salon in an assisted living facility called Aegis of Madison in Seattle WA for 6 years. I loved working with seniors of all ages and varieties. I have experience in working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients and I feel comfortable around them. Working with the senior population has been extremely fulfilling and fun. I am currently working as a home care aid with an 82 yr old gentleman who has debilitating arthritis. I am comfortable bathing, helping preparing food (although cooking is NOT my specialty) and doing housework and driving errands. I am flexible and can work a variety of times and/or days. I help with medication reminders but am not a medtech. I have my own car and love taking my clients out if they so desire. I am patient, enjoy just spending time as a companion, and helping in whatever way I can.
