I have a cumulative four years of experience in senior and special needs care. I worked as a live-in caretaker for an individual who required assistance with self-care, restricted dietary meal prep, ambulatory assistance, and medication due to the results of a severe stroke. I also cared for their spouse at that time who had dementia, and who I also assisted with small errands and companionship. I most recently worked with an individual through Easter Seals of New Jersey who had severely limited mobility and was non-ambulatory. I assisted my client with self-care, meal prep, dressing, operating medical equipment - such as their power chair, chair lifts, and prescribed medical respiratory equipment - I also transported my client using their specialized vehicle to appointments and recreational activities.
