About Shannon

I'm a current MSW student looking for a summer part time role. My work with kids started when I became a swim instructor in high school, and evolved from there. Since then, I have been a mentor to girls interested in outdoor sports, I have been a summer camp lead for children ranging ages 5-16, and most recently I've worked with youth grieving the death of a significant person through volunteer work and as a clinical social work intern. Through my variety of experiences , I have learned about childhood development, working with youth with disabilities, and I can support youth through life's difficulties in addition to the joyous events. All told, I have been working with and caring for kids for about 9 years though not all has been paid. I am comfortable with animals and look forward to connecting with your family! I'd describe my personality as open, compassionate, curious In my spare time, I like to fly fish, make pottery, and spend time with my dog
