About Shannon

I am a licensed masters social worker looking for part-time babysitting jobs while expanding my private practice. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents in therapeutic and childcare settings, and am currently pursuing licensure as a Registered Play Therapist. I work with children ages 3-18 in a therapeutic setting, and have professional experience helping children regulate emotions and cope with the challenges of daily life. As a play therapist, I believe that play is so vital to children's development and value spending time playing with children over entertaining them with screens or devices. I studied child development, education and psychology in college, and have loved caring for children since I was in high school. I have worked in many childcare roles, volunteering in church nurseries, summer camps, and ministry settings.
