About Shannon

I'd describe my personality as caring, independent and creative. I like working with kids because they are so curious about the world, how it works and their place in it. Their wonderment is inspiring! I'm looking for a job that fits in with my current work and life schedule. I started working with kids when I was in college at the campus daycare. I then worked as a nanny for a few years before becoming an outdoor educator, working in CA and NH. I was permanently laid off during the pandemic from my education career at the AMC, and went back to being a nanny for 4 years. I am now a teacher at a nature based preschool in VT. In my spare time, I like to cook, read, garden, hike, and spend time with my family! One thing you should know about me is I love being outside. Safety is my number one priority, and then we can have fun! My skills include first aid, building positive rapport, and bringing an even keel energy to my care.
